NecroNews Buried Alive Banger: Dead Estate

Since a lot of good games have been effectively buried alive by the amount of junk out there, we wanted to start highlighting some of the buried treasures we find in Booster's ridiculous collection.

Since a lot of good games have been effectively buried alive by the amount of junk out there, we wanted to start highlighting some of the buried treasures we find in Booster's ridiculous collection.

This week's Buried Alive Banger is: Dead Estate, "A fast-paced, challenging roguelike shooter, with a heavy emphasis on horror influences."

From what we've played, the gameplay takes inspiration from Binding of Issac and Enter the Gungeon while adding some love to horror games such as Resident Evil and Silent Hill. The art style is rad, looking like if Scott Pilgrim and Invader Zim had a bebbe and it kept the spirit of both.

The Gameplay is tight, though it is very difficult. Luckily, you do feel yourself getting better after every run. It's a sweet time to check out the game because Milkbar Lads, the developer of the game, is about to release 6 free Major content which will add weapons, items, enemies and possibly even new characters. (Will your favorite Necromancer ever appear in the game?)

Speaking of characters, you'll want to experiment with each of the characters because they play as different as they look... and they look... well:

I think that speaks for itself.

Check out Dead Estate! I promise you won't regret it. Also, for you streamers out there, this is a great game to stream coming into the Halloween Season. Easy to play and chat with.
