CONQuest Festival 2023 Hosts VTubers Bao the Whale, Shoto and Demenishki

CONQuest Festival 2023 has revealed its third wave of guests Saturday night Manila time, drumming up the hype for what is now one of the most-awaited pop culture events in the country. Among all the guests lined up are Virtual YouTubers Bao the Whale, Shoto and Demenishki.

CONQuest 2023's VTuber Guests

• Returning to Manila this year, the 52-hertz whale Bao continues to produce music, with her first cover album Citrus Love: Slice of Life on sale now.
• Rogue boy, guild leader and demon slayer Shoto enters CONQuest for the first time, and he is set to be introduced to his Filipino fans in person. Last year, he did a cover of Zack Tabudlo's Habang Buhay.
• Variety streamer Demenishki plays games (especially Valorant) and draws art. She has collaborated with game content creators such as SchrodingerLee and another CONQuest 2023 guest, Razzie Binx.

According to the CONQuest website, Bao and Shoto will be part of the MeetZone, where official meet-and-greets with the guests will be held. Schedules for said meet-and-greets are yet to be released.

The Guest List for CONQuest 2023

Guests for CONQuest 2023—musicians, content creators, game streamers, voice actors, cosplayers, etc.—were announced in three waves.

Currently, these are the guests for this year's festival—a more detailed description of each guest is posted on the event's website:

Last year, a total of 30 guests appeared at the two-day CONQuest Festival attended by thousands of visitors.

This year, it will expand to a 3-day event, and aside from occupying the whole of SMX Convention Center Manila, it will also have activities at the Conrad Manila hotel beside it.

• The grand finals of Alliance Games, the biggest national campus esports league in the Philippines, gathers student gaming teams in the country to compete for the championship title in League of Legends, Valorant, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and Call of Duty Mobile.
• This year, a music night will also be held, featuring Korean indie rock band The Rose, singer-songwriter and record producer James Reid, Ian of HyperPotions and more.
• Other activities set for the weekend event are Celebrity Showmatch, Tech and Game Dev Expo, Questmarket (artists' alley), Free Play & Retro Arcade, StreamZone, Food Festival, Art Gallery and Cosplay showcase.
• On top of these, Filipino student gamers can apply for grants such as the Valkyrae Homecoming Scholarship, Fuslie's Scholarship for Women in Gaming, and the CONQuest Scholarship.

CONQuest is organized by AcadArena, the largest campus gaming network in Southeast Asia with over 200,000 students across 2000 schools.

Started in 2017 as a high school project by AcadArena founder Justin Banusing, CONQuest first launched in Iloilo City, Western Visayas and has now become one of the largest pop culture events in Southeast Asian region as well as the first major event since the pandemic.
