The Kawa Game Awards celebrates fun.

The award is not bestowed upon whichever game made the most contributions of Doritos and Mountain Dew to Kawa.

Instead, it is bestowed upon those whose game perfectly encapsulates the theme of the category they were nominated to—or what is the funniest meme.

The voting will be done live during the KGA stream with winners getting a trophy that Elle draws in Microsoft Paint.

Best OST

These games graced us with amazing soundtracks that further boosted the game's experience. The nominees are

Best Remaster

These games were brought back from the grave, better and improved upon from what they once were originally. These nominees were picked for how insanely well they were polished and remastered.

Best Co-Op

Sometimes, we need a companion to help us. A friend who we bring along to play with us to make the experience twice as fun. These nominees embody that essence.

Best Pick-Up / Put-Down

Sometimes, we want to play a game for a couple of minutes in between our breaks and not stress out at all.

These games show us that we don't need to be constantly playing a game and enjoy a quick 15-minute match.

Best Replay Value

These games are wonderful, so wonderful in fact that you can't help but come back to them repeatedly, almost like it's a good scratch to that gaming itch.

Comfiest Game

Sometimes you don't want to worry about high scores, or if you're prepared for battle. Sometimes you just want to RELAX and we feel these nominations are the best game this year to just utterly relax to.

Worst Company

We've seen a lot of companies commit public seppuku this year.

From the biggest to the smallest, these nominees have literally dropped the ball and lowered the bar.

Best Waifu

This category is one for the ages. This year we were given some great waifus, but which one is the best for this year? Here are the nominees to rule them all.

Best Husbando

This one's for the ladies and bros who love a good hunk. This year was filled with all types of husband material but only one will prevail.

Best Animal Companion

Whenever we feel alone, these furry, feathery or scaly friends come alongside us and make us feel better. They're helpful, they're amazing and they're the best of friends.

Best Character

The year has brought us a lot of characters with varying stories of varying depths. These characters stood out the most with fans and are now competing for the top.

Best Moment

In between games, we are given a scene that leaves us in awe. So much so that we consider it the best moment of the game. These nominees were picked as the BEST moments of the year.

The moment you've all been waiting for, the one game to surpass all games.

Every year, many a game comes out from publishers telling great stories and contain amazing settings—but only one may come out on top. It's time to answer the question with these nominees.

The first Kawa Game Awards will be streamed side-by-side with The Game Awards on December 8 at 6:00 CST on Twitch.
