Gawr Gura Gets Special Animated Video by Tonari Animation

Hololive English’s Gawr Gura has revealed a special animated video titled ‘Shark’d’, released following her recently-concluded 3D live performance, where she performed song sets for viewers.

The animated video is done by global animation studio Tonari Animation based in California. They have collaborated with mainstream anime studios in working on titles such as Mushoku Tensei, Zombie Land Saga: Revenge​, Akudama Drive, and Slime Diaries.

The video is produced by Roberto Furuta, written and directed by Tonari's lead animator Beast. A Making-of video was also posted by the studio on YouTube, showing the frame-by-frame production of the said short.

Yoshi Kirishima, who shared the character designs for the short, served as the character designer and chief animation director for the music video. He served as key animator for several episodes in Mieruko-chan, Princess Connect! Re:Dive, Zombie Land Saga: Revenge, and Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story.
