Hololive Would Like to Try Out South America, European Markets in the Future

Anime News Network has posted their interview with COVER Corporation CEO Motoaki Tanigo (YAGOO) at Crunchyroll Expo 2022. Among the questions asked is a potential entry into other markets:

"[...] Right now, Japanese anime is big all over the world, so there are a lot of really strong markets. I don't have extensive knowledge about the international scene, but there are places like South America or Europe where a lot of anime are localized, and which are really interesting to me. We would like to try out those markets, and if things go well, we may also localize for those markets and foster talents from there."

Several VTubers originated from South America, such as VShojo's Ironmouse, Nimu Spacecat and Mexican VTuber PARRA. Europe also enjoys a variety of VTubers such as Live2D artist Dyarikku, Storyteller Merryweather, Illustrator Saruei, and even Hololive English's Takanashi Kiara who hails from Austria.
