In another major milestone for VTubers, Hololive's Hoshimachi Suisei will perform on the popular music channel The First Take.
Suisei is set to perform her hit song Stellar Stellar with a special acoustic arrangement. The First Take on Twitter said that for the first time in its history, a VTuber will attempt to perform in one take for the channel.
The video which was uploaded to YouTube has reached 2.4 million views 16 hours after it was released.
Produced and composed by Taku Inoue, Stellar Stellar is currently her second most-played song on Spotify with 6 million hits, next to GHOST. Its music video currently has 19 million views on YouTube.
Fondly called Suichan by fans, the "eternally 18-year-old" Suisei was originally an independent VTuber who became part of Hololive's "0th gen" alongside Tokino Sora, Roboco, Sakura Miko and AZKi.
Suisei's full-length album Specter will be released on Wednesday, January 25. This will be followed by her second solo live concert Shout in Crisis to be held at the Tokyo Garden Theater on Saturday, January 28.
