IRIAM US Wants Experienced, Aspiring Streamers to Stream on their Platform

Successful Japanese VTuber streaming app sets its sights into the US market; opens applications for interested VTubers to stream in the platform before its Fall launch

Japanese interactive VTuber streaming application IRIAM is set to launch in the United States this fall, and has opened applications for VTubers to stream through the app's US version.

The app rose to popularity in Japan, having achieved over 2.65 million downloads and more than 10,000 VTubers streaming on the app daily.

Part of IRIAM's activities in its originating country includes in-app events which is translated to on-ground experiences.

A representative told VTuber NewsDrop that it plans to replicate the platform's success in Japan to the overseas audience, starting in the US.

The app supports Live2D models, and there are plans for US users to use just PNG images as a streaming requirement. The IRIAM US app is still under development, and the launch date can change.

Applications to be one of IRIAM's founding streamers opens on May 28. Experienced and aspiring VTubers are encouraged to apply. Applications will be reviewed by end of June.

In other news, the platform is set to appear at this year's OffKai Expo VTuber convention in California, in which independent VTubers Nyaruchuu and Lilybelle are going to host interactive activities.

IRIAM is one of the many services entertainment technology umbrella DeNA offers alongside its established Mobage mobile game service.
