Phoebe Chan to Depart Shirayuri Pro to Become Independent VTuber

VTuber Phoebe Chan from US-based VTuber project Shirayuri Pro has announced her departure from the group to become a fully independent VTuber. The announcement was first made during the VTuber group’s second-year anniversary stream.

According to a statement she posted on Twitter, her departure takes effect on September 1, and has encouraged fans to look forward to her re-debut and birthday celebration on October 28.

“Going forward, I intend to focus mainly on my singing and music, convention performances, and appearances, and growing my voice acting career. To clarify, however, I will not be graduating as Phoebe, nor will I be ceasing my VTubing activities,” she stated.

Phoebe Chan, also known by her moniker as ‘Feebeechanchibi’, describes herself as a ‘2.5D singer and voice actress’. Aside from her VTubing career, she has also devoted her time in creating original music and performing in the idol group PhEri. She recently released her second original single “Symphonic Sky”, which was released on April 29 this year.

Some of her other music-related releases include her first original solo EP, Moon Garden (March 2020), and Chill Bee-Ts to Buzz to (April 2021).
