- It should be recalled that the agency first launched the Kickstarter project for the 3D model production in April 2022 as part of their “Idol Project”. As of today, the project was backed by 380 people, with the amount crowdsourced amounting to ¥16,069,128 (around ~US$121,629.64)
- The project was launched by the agency’s company LOY Inc., spearheaded by its chief executive officer Kyosuke Kinoshita. In a press release, the company stressed that the project aims to expand the activities of their talents beyond their usual streaming activities.
- Production Kawaii completed the campaign in June 2022, despite the agency dealing with terminating one of its talents following a breach of contract.
Current members of Production Kawaii’s first generation include Reina Sun, Nene Amano, Charlotte Suzu, and Isla Coleman; while the second generation is currently composed of Namiji Freesia, Shee Icho, and Lua Asuka.
