VOMS Project’s Pikamee Amano to End VTubing Activities on March 31

“Thanks to you guys a lot for giving me love and sweet words. It was a short time, but that is all from this time. Thank you so much for watching.”

Pikamee Amano, the bilingual English/Japanese-speaking VTuber of VOMS Project, will end her VTubing activities on March 31. The announcement was made official through the agency’s official Twitter account.

  • In the official statement, VOMS Project said that they have discussed this update with Pikamee herself, and both parties agreed to proceed with the graduation ‘in a positive way’.
  • The agency has expressed their deepest gratitude to the fans that have supported Pikamee over the years, and hope that they can still support the talent in the month remaining for her VTuber activities.
  • VOMS Project also highlighted that its upcoming pop-up store VOMS PARK will still continue on March 4 as scheduled. A pre-event announcement stream will also happen on March 2 at the official YouTube channel of the agency.
  • By the time Pikamee graduates, her YouTube channel content–both on her channel and on the agency–will be set to private. All of her social media channels will remain but no longer active.

Vocaloid music producer GYARI, who founded VOMS Project, acknowledged Pikamee’s role in the overall standing of the agency’s popularity.

“The VOMS Project was launched by GYARI as a private project, but needless to say that Amano Pikamee’s activities played a major role in the project gaining momentum than originally thought. Once again, I would like to take this opportunity to express my deepest gratitude to Amano Pikamee,” GYARI said.

In a separate video, Pikamee thanks her fans for sticking with her in her three-year journey. “I am so sorry for shocking you guys like this. Despite all the sad things, I still have a month left so I hope we can have a lot of fun time[s],” the VTuber spoke in Japanese.

“Thanks to you guys a lot for giving me love and sweet words. It was a short time, but that is all from this time. Thank you so much for watching.”

Pikamee debuted on YouTube on March 19, 2020 and on Twitch on March 29, 2021. As of the time this story was posted, Pikamee has a reach of more than 600,000 YouTube subscribers, 148,000 Twitch followers and 215,400 Twitter followers.
