NIJISANJI to Debut AYAKAKI Japanese Unit on June 22
AYAKAKI will have 5 virtual stars—including a mascot—in its roster.
VTuber agency NIJISANJI is set to debut five new virtual talents this Saturday, June 22 JST.
Shiga Riko, Tamanoi Nana, Kisara, Kozue Mone and Lunlun form the new unit,「いずれ菖蒲か杜若」or AYAKAKI for short. X/Twitter for the unit and its members were opened to the public Wednesday, June 19.
Set in Ranfu, the five talents are described in the promotional video (with English subtitles) as follows:
Shiga Riko
Young girl Riko was newly chosen as the tourism ambassador of Ranfu.
Regarded by the land's citizens as an ideal daughter, she's usually very composed; but is a whole other person when talking about something she's passionate about. (YouTube · X/Twitter)

Tamanoi Nana
Nana is the number 1 performer at the Ranfu Circus. While singing and dancing are not her strong points, she hones her skills to make her audiences smile.

Kisara
Feng Shui practitioner Kisara lives in Ranfu and is rumored to bring happiness to those that seek advice from her. She's hard to meet however, as she's not a morning person—if she can't wake up, she won't open shop.

Debut Original Song and Voice Pack
As with the tradition of NIJISANJI debuts, the new unit will also release its first original song, voice packs and merchandise set.
- The music video for Xiao Xiao Lanlan has been released Wednesday on the unit's own YouTube channel. It is also made available on music streaming platforms.
- Welcome voice packs and merchandise will be made available on official NIJISANJI stores in Japan and overseas June 22 starting 9:35 pm JST.
AYAKAKI follows the debut of NIJISANJI EN unit Denauth starring ronin Ryoma Barrenwort, maid Klara Charmwood and manor owner Twisty Amanozako last May; as well as Japanese unit 3SKM of Kitami Yusei, Kaisei and Sakaki Ness last March.
NIJISANJI parent company ANYCOLOR Inc. has released its financial results for the Fiscal Year 2024 (PDF) with the Japanese branch carrying most of the credit in the growth of the company's profits. They expressed their intent to develop a stronger fan community through the growth of existing units and the formation of new units.
