NIJISANJI EN AR Live "COLORS" Reannounced A Year After Initial Cancellation

NIJISANJI EN's first 3D Live, COLORS, has been reannounced for April 14, taking place nearly a year to the day the original event was scheduled for.

NIJISANJI EN is finally getting its long-awaited AR Live concert, COLORS, a year after it was initially canceled.

The English-speaking arm’s first major 3D performance will take place on April 14 at 10AM JST (April 13 US time), featuring 15 VTubers from NIJISANJI EN’s first five branches.

They will be split into two gendered stages:

  • Pastel Stage featuring Elira Pendora, Finana Ryugu, Petra Gurin, Rosemi Lovelock, Reimu Endou, Enna Alouette and Millie Parfait.
  • Vivid Stage featuring Vox Akuma, Luca Kaneshiro, Ike Eveland, Shu Yamino, Alban Knox, Sonny Brisko, Uki Violeta and Fulgur Ovid.

It will be the official 3D debut for most of the talents. Only Lazulight’s Elira Pendora and Finana Ryugu, as well as Obysdia’s Petra Gurin and Rosemi Lovelock have revealed their fully-functioning 3D models in individual showcases previously.

Fulgur Ovid will also only perform using his regular 2D model “due to health reasons.”

COLORS will be taking place completely online, with streaming tickets available on Stagecrowd for international audiences, bilibili for Chinese fans, and niconico Live for those in Japan. It’ll set fans back 6,000 JPY ($40), giving you access to both performances and a VOD until April 29.

Merch will be available from April 2 with new VTuber plushies, photocards, badges, standees, keychains and exclusive COLORS event items.

If the name COLORS sounds familiar, that’s because it was originally meant to take place in April 2023. It was canceled two weeks after its announcement due to “schedule delays caused by circumstances such as coronavirus.”

But one year on, NIJISANJI EN Livers — and their fans — will get their promised 3D Live.

"Ever since the cancellation of the event a year ago, we've been preparing to bring this special live performance back for you," the company said. "We hope you will enjoy NIJISANJI EN Livers' performances in their very first AR LIVE event!"

“We are so back,” both Alban Knox and Ike Eveland tweeted, with the latter adding COLORS will feature a live band on top of the group’s vocals.

COLORS also comes at an opportune time for NIJISANJI EN, with the branch’s third anniversary coming up in May

The AR Live is considered one of the special events of the anniversary period, along with the Mario Kart Special Battle featuring members from every generation as well as two more unannounced projects.
