The first volume of the slapstick manga featuring NIJISANJI talents Hanabatake Chaika and Kenmochi Toya have been officially released under the self-titled Nijisanji name. CoroCoro Comic is officially serializing the series, and is only currently available in Japanese. The manga released its first chapter back in April this year.
The manga depicts the chaotic daily lives of Hanabatake and Kenmochi. In addition to the two main characters, the manga also features other popular livers as guests.
Aside from the manga's regular edition, there is also a special edition of the manga. The special edition comes with a 7-piece set of Hanabatake's acrylic stands, with illustrations carefully selected from manga frames being used.
This is not the first time NIJISANJI has dipped into other written media for promotional purposes. Its Lie:verse Liars mixed media project, done alongside media conglomerate KADOKAWA, and graphic design company BALCOLONY—have revealed the first release from the project, a light novel titled “Lie:verse Liars: How to Start a Bad End That Will Make Us Happy.”
