Some GTA 6 Gameplay Has Been Allegedly Leaked. Here’s What We Found

The long-rumored release of Grand Theft Auto (GTA) 6 from Rockstar Games has allegedly received new leaks, thanks to recent uploads by YouTube user “masken”.

The game, purportedly been in locked status for seven years, has its game development tools allegedly leaked on GTAForums.com, an online forum dedicated to potential leaks discussions on upcoming GTA series games.

Based on the screenshots and the videos being uploaded on YouTube, online forum members have discussed that the uploads are considered to be a ‘big break’ from the long-delayed game, with the person who leaked allegedly gaining access to a Rockstar Game employee's Slack, a business messaging platform used by enterprises. Stills show that Rockstar's tools were used while the game footage are captured.

The screenshots also hint on the possibility of a first-ever female protagonist for the GTA game series. For now, the screenshots are still missing important assets and still lack proper textures, but the leaks could be a major lead on the current status quo of the GTA 6 game development. The game is also allegedly being set at Vice City, the city used in the 2002 release of GTA.

The more recent game release from Rockstar, titled Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, was released in 2021 and serves as a trilogy collection of Grand Theft Auto III (2001), Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (2002), and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (2004).
