Virtual Singer KAF Celebrates 5th Debut Anniversary
Forbes Japan "30 Under 30" honoree to host anniversary stream on YouTube Sunday, October 22.
KAF, a pioneering virtual singer under the KAMITSUBAKI STUDIO label and a Forbes Japan 2023 "30 Under 30" honoree, is celebrating her 5th debut anniversary this October.
The artist debuted in 2018, and has collaborated with voice actress Ayane Sakura (My Hero Academia, Non Non Biyori, Is the Order a Rabbit?), musicians Hakushi Hasegawa (Brainfeeder), MIYAVI, Mondo Grosso among others.
This year, she has reached a major milestone as the first virtual artist to perform at the historic Nippon Budokan arena. She has also participated in the recently-held YouTube Music Weekend 7.0 last August.
She is going to stream live on YouTube on Sunday (October 22) at 10pm Japan time to celebrate her 5th year as a virtual artist. Major announcements are set to be broadcast live—possibly including additional details for the studio's major concert next year.
Kamitsubaki Yoyogi Wars 2024
In other news: KAMITSUBAKI YOYOGI WARS 2024 is set to be held at the Yoyogi National Gymnasium in Tokyo's Shibuya ward on the weekend of January 13 and 14.
KAF joins her V.W.P (Virtual Witch Phenomenon) fellows on Day 1, and she will have her solo concert on Day 2. She is also set to perform alongside Sakura and a variety of big guests.
