Yume Reality Terminates Keroro Suika’s Contract

The termination follows a ‘breach of contract’ by Keroro Suika related to a recent music cover contest by Yume Reality in partnership with music circle Evariaworks.

Indonesian VTuber agency Yume Reality has terminated the contract of its talent Keroro Suika, three weeks before her scheduled graduation on October 3, alongside fellow ‘Chapter 2’ members Aika Meru and Kogane Keiya.

The termination follows a ‘breach of contract’ by Keroro Suika related to a recent music cover contest by Yume Reality in partnership with music circle Evariaworks.

In a now-deleted tweet, Suika said that ‘there could have been better winners’ of said contest, which then offended the winning team. Both Suika and Yume Reality’s CEO Raditya Bagaswara have issued formal statements, apologizing for said actions.

Through the contract termination, Yume Reality has immediately closed off her YouTube channel, with all of her videos either removed or set to private. The agency also stated that pre-orders for her merchandise are closed off immediately. In its upcoming attendance at Comic Frontier 15 inside the Indonesia Convention Exhibition, the agency said that it will no longer display any merchandise related to Suika.

Suika debuted on January 10 this year, and as of this writing she leaves over 30,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel.

In a follow-up tweet, the agency understands the disappointment of all parties, and is currently discussing the next course of action.
