Amatsuka Uto to Suspend Activities Indefinitely by April 30

"I don't know what the future holds, but I hope to be in everyone's hearts until we meet again," she said.

Japanese VTuber Amatsuka Uto will suspend her activities indefinitely before the end of April this year. The announcement was posted on her Twitter account April 6 (Thursday) Japan time.

  • In the original Japanese text, Uto is set to suspend activities on April 30 (Sunday). The English translation says April 25 (Tuesday), but we shall follow the original Japanest text.
  • The VTuber has added that she will continue to stream on YouTube and Twitch until such time. Afterwards, her Twitter will be locked, and YouTube memberships will be closed on April 30.
  • As she continues to stream until she takes a hiatus, videos archived will be kept private to avoid speculation and misunderstanding. Clipping and reposting of said streams will also be prohibited.

She thanks everyone who has been involved with her, as well as her supporters, over the past two years. "I don't know what the future holds, but I hope to be in everyone's hearts until we meet again," she said.

Amatsuka Uto had her debut on December 2020, and has 602,000 YouTube subscribers and 68,500 Twitch followers.

In late 2021, she released her first album Utopia produced by Pony Canyon. In 2022, she played a guest speaking role in episode 46 of the original net anime adaptation of Yū Isihara's manga Doomsday With My Dog.

This was not the first time she had taken a stream break—her first stream break happened from March to July 2022. She was recently seen streaming Apex Legends with fellow VTuber Dtto as of this posting.
